New research shows that states with legal medical marijuana programs are seeing a reduction in opioid use. Doctor Yuyan Shi says states with medical marijuana programs saw 23-percent fewer hospitalizations related to the nationwide opioid epidemic, and 13-percent fewer overdose cases.
