Big day for Santa Rosa tomorrow. Finally, the re-unification of Courthouse Square. It’s been over a year since construction began, and it will all be unveiled tomorrow. The official festivities run from 12:30-1:30 with Mayor Chris Coursey and Gaye LeBaron at the helm. Food and music will follow that in the new square.
People celebrating the square re-opening won’t be alone: a protest march is scheduled for tomorrow, organized by the May 1st coalition. They’re marching for jobs, justice and the climate. It begins in the Roseland plaza and is scheduled to continue on to Old Courthouse Square at 2pm.
