Students, families and others will recognize their favorite teachers during a week-long celebration beginning today. Lily Eskelsen-Garcia with the National Education Association said many students and families across the country are reaching out to their teachers just to say “thank you.” Teachers will be recognized during National Teacher Day tomorrow. That also coincidentally falls during Teacher Appreciation Week, which is always the first full week of May. Across California, the state’s Parent Teacher Association says many events will be held at local schools across the state.
