A new bill would allow local communities to extend alcohol services to 4 a.m. in California.  Bill sponsor Senator Scott Wiener says this bill gives the authority back to local municipalities across California. The “Let Our Communities Adjust Late Night,” or LOCAL Act, would apply to bars and restaurants, but not to retail establishments. Senator Wiener added the extended hours could be conditioned to include only specific days of the week or certain holidays. The bill now moves to the California Assembly.
