The Santa Rosa City Council has decided to ban Cannabis Businesses from a 30-acre industrial area that some developers are considering for potential apartments near the new downtown SMART station. The Urgency Ordinance for Maxwell Court Industrial Area only applies to Cannabis related businesses as the zone is intended to be an industrial zone until the area is ready to be converted into a residential one. David Guhin, City Manager for Santa Rosa, said the restriction of the Maxwell Court Industrial Area should not affect Cannabis businesses looking for locations.
