The Marin County Coroner is confirming that a missing oyster company owner’s body was found over the weekend. The coroner said yesterday that the body recovered Saturday floating on Tomales Bay is that of Tod Friend. The owner of Tomales Bay Oyster Company went missing last Tuesday. A number of agencies began a search after Friend’s motorboat was found with no sign of him. The 70-year-old Oakland man’s family and friends continued searching after the Coast Guard, National Park Service, and Marin County agencies suspended their search on Wednesday.
