A Petaluma man is facing a drunken driving charge after showing up at the police station on an unrelated matter smelling of alcohol. Richard Elwood had driven to the station Tuesday morning to talk about a hit-and-run crash the day before when officers determined he was under the influence of alcohol, and he was arrested. Elwood was booked into Sonoma County Jail.
