Ironman Santa Rosa this Saturday Means Road Closures

Ironman Santa Rosa’s coming up tomorrow: over 22-hundred athletes from all over the world will participate. The swim, run and cycling event will mean road closures and areas set up for spectators: you can find the entire route and closures HERE. About 40 of these athletes will go on to the World Championship Ironman competition in Kona, Hawaii.

Detours & Road Closures:

Coming from north of W 3rd St, use W College or Guerneville Rd to Hwy 101
Coming from south of W 3rd St, use Hwy 12 to Hwy 101
Coming from east of Petaluma Hill Rd, go north to SR Ave to Bennett Valley Rd to Hwy 12 or to S E St
Coming from west of Petaluma Hill Rd, use SR Ave to Hwy 101
Athletes will be cycling in the center lane of Petaluma Hill Rd. No traffic will be allowed to cross Petaluma Hill Rd to make left turns
Use Hwy 101/Downtown exit for SR Plaza – Use Morgan St to either the 5th St or 6th St entrance
Coming from east of E St, use College to Hwy 101 or Hwy 12 to Hwy 101
Expect delays on Hwy 12 west of Fulton RdRoad Closures:

Varying downtown closures Thursday, July 27, 2017, 4pm to Sunday, July 30, 2017, 12pm

Closures for Race Day, July 29, 2017 – 8am-6pm:
W. 3rd Street Eastbound between Fulton Road & Dutton Ave
The eastbound fast lane along W. 3rd will be CLOSED to all vehicle traffic. NO TRAFFIC will be permitted to cross athletes between Fulton Road and Dutton Ave. All residential traffic on the south side of W. 3rd will be permitted to exit and turn right (east) ONLY. All residents on the north side of W. 3rd will be permitted to turn right (west) ONLY. Suggested detours are College Ave. for residents north of the athletes, and HWY 12 for residents south of the athletes.
W. 9th Street Eastbound CLOSED between Dutton Ave & A Street
7th Street CLOSED from A Street to B Street
B Street CLOSED from 5th Street to 1st Street
D Street CLOSED from A Street to Sonoma Ave
Pierson Street at Santa Rosa Creek Trail Closed from 9 AM to 12 AM Sunday
1st Street CLOSED from A to Sonoma Avenue
Santa Rosa Avenue CLOSED from 3rd to Sonoma Avenue
1 Northbound lane adjacent to Creek Trail on Fulton Road & Stony Point Road will be CLOSED
