Santa Rosa police and Catholic Charities say when the encampment called Homeless Hill was cleared out on Monday, more than half of the people who lived there took advantage of city services and hotel vouchers. Now, the clean-up of that area at the end of Farmer’s Lane has begun. Captain Ray Navoro of SRPD says there are dangerous conditions on the hill, so no one is being allowed back into that area at this time. The city will eventually patrol that area to make sure that people don’t move back there.
