Sonoma County fair officials have crunched the numbers for this year’s fair, and they’re up: Attendance was up over 16-percent from last year’s numbers. More than 220-thousand of us crossed the gates during the fair’s 11-day run. A record take for the livestock auction: over a million and a half dollars spent on the animals. And we ate: more than 8-thousand turkey legs, nearly 18-thousand pounds of potatoes at one french-fry booth and over 50-thousand corn dogs were consumed. The extra days of horse racing begin today and run thru Sunday: admission to the races is free for the next 4 days.
