The Santa Rosa Police Department is setting up a DUI checkpoint at an undisclosed location from 7:00 tonight to 3:00 in the morning. Over one-thousand cars were screened at the last checkpoint July 21st. The operation resulted in six DUI arrests, 34 people cited or arrested for driving without a license and three arrested on outstanding warrants. The department says checkpoints have been shown to reduce the number of people killed and injured in DUI-related accidents.
