September 21, 2017 5pm

(Santa Rosa, CA) Amaturo Sonoma Media Group introduced a Classic Hits format on former Hot AC KMHX on Thursday at 5PM. The station is branded as K-Hits 104.9, Sonoma County’s Greatest Hits. In announcing the move, ASMG VP/Programming Jim Murphy commented “K-Hits 104.9 will feature the greatest hits from the late 70s into the early 90s, and should be well received by listeners whose musical tastes were shaped during the 1980s.  PD Danny Wright has done a masterful job crafting the sound. We’re very pleased to bring this exciting new station to Sonoma County listeners.” K-Hits 104.9 will be jockless for the present time. Announcement of new call letters is pending.

The 104.9 frequency had previously been branded as Mix 104.9 for the past decade.

Here now, an exclusive first listen to KHits 104.9.

KHits 104.9 and KSRO are both locally owned by Amaturo Sonoma Media Group.
