Twelve people are under arrest following a countywide sweep of over 400 registered sex offenders during a four-day operation. Yesterday the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office said officers from multiple agencies contacted half of the roughly 800 registered sex offenders in Sonoma County from September 18th to the 21st. Of the 12 arrests during the operation dubbed “Operation Clean Sweep,” two were for failure to register as a sex offender, two for drug possession, and one for having a handgun as a felon.
