A Santa Rosa mobile home park is closed at least until Wednesday pending tests for possible asbestos. Officials said yesterday at a community meeting that Journey’s End Mobile Home Park on Mendocino Avenue was shut down on Friday following consultations with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency officials who are leading a countywide cleanup of household hazardous waste. Materials that may contain asbestos were found at 25 sites at Journey’s End, where the Tubbs Fire destroyed about 140 of the park’s 160 homes. Test results won’t be known until at least Thursday, and the fire department has determined the park is currently “an unhealthy place to be.”
