It’s Black Friday: Thanksgiving is over and countless Santa Rosa families are already getting an early start on their holiday shopping.
There were well over 100 people in line outside Best Buy on Santa Rosa Avenue by four o’clock yesterday afternoon and just as many lined up at the Santa Rosa Plaza waiting for the mall to open. Despite the lines, according to the National Retail Federation, this year will be the first time more people shop online — an estimated nearly 60-percent — than in stores. Nearly 70 percent of Americans surveyed said they are likely to shop online or in stores during Thanksgiving weekend.
