The Sonoma County Coroner’s Office says dental records or DNA are needed to positively identify the victim of a fiery crash in Santa Rosa. The crash happened early Sunday morning on Santa Rosa Avenue near Barham Avenue when the man driving a Dodge Charger hit a tree and the car caught fire and he was badly burned. Initially, it wasn’t clear whether the driver was a man or a woman, but yesterday the Coroner’s Office said the driver was a man and that dental records or DNA would be needed for identification. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
