Several events are planned to honor Martin Luther King Junior on his birthday today. A cleanup to help beautify MLK Park on Hendley Street in Santa Rosa is scheduled to get underway at ten o’clock this morning, and a march and service projects will begin at the same time at the Community Baptist Church on Sonoma Avenue. Participants will help with a variety of tasks to repair infrastructure burned during the October fires starting at nine o’clock at Sonoma Valley Regional Park on Highway 12 in Glen Ellen. The slain civil rights leader would be turning 89 today.
