A man is under arrest on suspicion of causing a fire with a cigarette while using butane to manufacture hash oil. Firefighters responded Saturday afternoon to a warehouse at a self-storage company on Roseland Avenue near Sebastopol Road and had the blaze under control within 30 minutes. Eric Alexander Chait, who police described as homeless, was booked into the Sonoma County Jail on multiple charges, including manufacturing a controlled substance.
