Petaluma police have arrested a 27 year old resident for stealing a car while the vehicle was warming up. Early yesterday morning, Robert Moore stole a vehicle the driver had left running in the driveway to get warm and was seen driving on Ely Boulevard South extension by Petaluma Police. After a high speed chase through neighborhoods, Moore parked the car at an elementary school and fled on foot through the school. Another officer would spot Moore leaving the school and would arrest him finding him in possession of the victim’s property, burglary tools, controlled substance and associated paraphernalia. He was also found to have several arrest warrants and prior convictions for vehicle theft.
