The Board of Supervisors held a special meeting yesterday, and were hoping to get a report from the local OES manager about how emergency notifications were handled the night of the wildfires and what different plans they’d make next time an emergency occurs. What they got was a brief statement from Christopher Helgren that stated that information was in an internal memo and would not be released. The Press Democrat says the disappointed supervisors asked Helgren to come back with a public report, particularly on how unincorporated areas of the county can best be advised in an emergency.
