It was not a surprise: the Sonoma County Supervisors has become the first local governmental agency to sue PG&E over the North Bay Fires. The supervisors had already hired attorneys to represent them in a suit in San Francisco. The board voted 5 to nothing to authorize California Fire Lawyers to sue the utility: it’s looking for a 25-million dollar payback for damages. Cal Fire says it could still be months away from determining the exact cause of the fires.
