The weather system “La Nina” could soon disappear and affect California’s weather moving forward. Mike Halpert is Deputy Director of the Climate Prediction Center of the National Weather Service:

Meteorologists expect “La Nina” to disappear by May, but an exact timetable is unknown. The NWS says “La Nina” weakened in the month of February and it was reflected by below-average sea temperatures off the coast of California, among other meteorological events. Meteorologists say a neutral weather pattern will follow “La Nina” through the summer months. A possible “El Nino” weather pattern is still uncertain.
