A 15-hour standoff between police and a man threatening to jump from a Napa freeway overpass is over. The 28-year-old Napa man had climbed over the safety fencing along the Trancas Street overpass at Highway 29 at about 5:30 Tuesday morning, prompting the CHP to close the overpass and highway. Fifteen hours later, he climbed back onto the bridge and was surrounded by friends and family members. The man is unharmed and the roadways are open to traffic again. Police say the man has a history of mental health problems.
