California Insurance Commissioner Dave Jones is urging residents with Access Insurance policies to shop for replacement coverage as soon as possible.
Jones says the policies will be canceled effective April 12th. The cancellations are the result of a liquidation order that was issued against Access Insurance by the Texas Department of Insurance on March 13th. Any claims filed with the insurance company prior to March 13th will be transferred to the California Insurance Guarantee Association for payment and don’t need to be refiled.
