The Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a woman was sexually assaulted and beaten in Sonoma. Detectives yesterday said the victim had been drinking in San Francisco late Saturday night and called for a ride-sharing car to take her home. She told investigators two men in the car assaulted her before she managed to escape near the Safeway in Sonoma. Sgt. Spencer Crum says it wasn’t the ride-sharing service:
The woman was treated at the scene but not hospitalized. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office.
