Deputy Hospitalized After Shooting at Sonoma Gas Station

A Sonoma County Sheriff’s deputy is hospitalized after being shot during a confrontation with an employee of a gas station. The shooting happened around 11 o’clock yesterday morning at the Jolly Washer 76 gas station on Highway 12 and Ramon Street in Sonoma. Ryan Joseph Pritel of Sonoma was arrested and booked into Sonoma County Jail on suspicion of attempted murder. The deputy suffered nonfatal wounds and was taken to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition as of late last night.
