Independence Day celebrations tonight, including Windsor Kaboom at Keiser Park. Gates open at 4pm with the big fireworks show at around 9. Andrew Ryan is one of the organizers:

$10 for adults and 5-dollars for kids, it’s the Sebastopol Fireworks Extravaganza and Music Festival at the Analy High School Football field.

This event has been celebrating the 4th of July for the past 80 years: Santa Rosa’s Red, White and Boom tomorrow night at the fairgrounds. Food, live music and kids activities beginning at 3:30, and the fireworks show at dusk. Brian Taylor talks about that part of the night:

The Sonoma Old Fashioned Fourth of July Parade starts at 9:30am in the Veterans Memorial Building Parking Lot. The parade traverses the Plaza, and then after the parade, you can enjoy an old-fashioned carnival with food, drink and game booths run by Sonoma’s non-profit organizations. All proceeds raised from the celebration benefit Sonoma’s nonprofit community. The 4th of July festival concludes around 5pm when all eyes shift to the skies at dusk above General Vallejo’s field for the spectacular fireworks show that lasts approximately 45 minutes.
