Firefighters Are Making Progress Fighting the Ferguson Fire Near Yosemite

The Ferguson Fire burning near Yosemite National Park is over 36,000 acres and about 25 percent contained. Firefighters battling the blaze will face difficult conditions this week, with the National Weather Service issuing a heat advisory for this afternoon through Thursday evening. So far, one firefighter has died and six others have been injured fighting the fire that began on July 13th. Thirteen areas are under mandatory evacuation orders, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
