The Santa Rosa City School Board is considering two parcel taxes in an effort to combat a fiscal crisis. The board is considering a 50 dollar residential and commercial tax over eight years projected to raise three-million dollars annually for high schools. A 75 dollar tax would raise about one-million dollars for elementary and middle schools, and both taxes would be used on students and faculty costs, not for administrative salaries or facilities. Board members are schedule to vote on the proposal at their August 8th meeting.
