A 53-year-old Sonoma County woman is facing murder, DUI, and vehicular manslaughter charges in connection with a crash last Friday that killed a Windsor man. Sherry Risch was allegedly under the influence of drugs when she drove the wrong way on northbound Highway 101 near Airport Boulevard just after midnight Friday morning. The CHP says she collided with a minivan and spun out when 56-year-old Daniel Adams crashed into her car on his motorcycle. Adams was ejected from the motorcycle and pronounced dead at the scene, while the occupants of the minivan were hospitalized with moderate to major injuries. Court records show Risch has a history of driving under the influence, including two convictions for the crime.

Risch is being held in the Sonoma County Jail without bail and is due to return to court next week following a mental competence exam.
