The travel research company, STR, saw revenues for hotels in the county increase by less than 2 percent in the month of July. Occupancy rates also slightly declined to 83.2 percent from 83.8 percent in July 2017. Sonoma County Tourism’s Jennifer Richard says the key going forward is getting the word out that Sonoma County is open for business.

Revenue still shows a significant increase for 2018 thus far at 14.4 percent from a year earlier to nearly $190 million.
