A 41 year old transient is under arrest for DUI after parking his vehicle on SMART Tracks in Petaluma.
Just after 9 PM last night around the 400 block of Hopper Street, Juan Bamaca-Velasquez was found lying on the ground near his parked Nissan Altima which was on the tracks 350 feet from the nearest roadway. His blood alcohol level was found to be 7 times the legal limit of .08 percent. Bamaca-Velasquez was arrested for DUI and driving on a suspended license having had prior DUI’s. Records revealed Bamaca-Velasquez had been arrested for DUI several times, which included prison terms, since 2001.
