A 13-acre Guerneville campground in a redwood canyon near Armstrong Woods is going back on the auction block this Saturday, a sale that could leave 50 people who live on the grounds homeless.

The Faerie Ring Campground, owned by Chase Bank since a foreclosure earlier this year, has already been through two previous auctions that failed to draw a successful bid. Opening bid for the campground is $359,940. The Press Democrat reports that Supervisor Lynda Hopkins is working to postpone the sale in hopes the county could find someone to purchase it and maintain it at affordable rates. Most people at the campground live in RVs or trailers with a few in tents and one in a brick house.
