The nation is reacting to the testimony from Supreme Court Nominee Brett Kavanaugh and his accuser, Dr. Christine Blasey Ford. Local members of the community have shared their response as well.

Chris Castillo, who works as Executive Director of Verity, a local group that works with sexual assault victims, watched both testimonies throughout the day with Mrs. Ford’s testimony first.

As for her views on Kavanaugh’s responses, Castillo noticed he deflected a lot but took particularly notice of his answers on drinking.

Verity noticed a 20 percent increase in calls during the day of the testimony into the crisis hotline. That number is 707-545-7273

Santa Rosa Attorney Roy Miller, a former Sexual Assault Prosecutor in Lake County, also viewed the hearings. Roy spoke on KSRO’s The Drive yesterday in depth on the hearings.

Miller also came up critical on Kavanaugh’s testimony as well.

Miller’s full reaction can be found on the The Drive’s KSRO page HERE.
