Court records indicate that Sonoma West Medical Center is filing for liquidation bankruptcy.
The filing affects around 180 creditors from insurance companies to vendors. Sonoma West was running the District Hospital of Sebastopol until September of this year, having reopened it in the fall of 2015. However, struggles to make the hospital profitable mixed in with controversies, including a billing scheme case with a Florida drug maker, lead the Palm Drive Health Care District to sign a new management services agreement with Advanced American Management Group.
