A mobile shower service for homeless residents in Marin County will be on display at four locations in Sausalito this afternoon. Marin Mobile Care is run by the Downtown Streets Team, a nonprofit designed to end homelessness in the North Bay through return-to-work programs in an effort to restore dignity to those who are less fortunate. The mobile care staff will also be able to refer clients to mental health counseling, shelters, medical care, housing opportunities and food resources. The event is a preview of a six-month pilot program that the Sausalito City Council will consider next month.
