A North Bay parolee is back behind bars in connection with a stabbing during a family argument over the weekend. The Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office alleges that 34-year-old Gary Lee Pickard was using methamphetamine and hadn’t slept in several days when he stabbed his brother in the arm and shoulder early Sunday night. Pickard also reportedly sprayed pepper spray on a sofa on the front porch of the Yuba Drive residence just outside Santa Rosa, leaving his brother and his brother’s girlfriend suffering from burning sensations on their skin. The brother is recovering from his stab wounds and Pickard is behind bars on assault with a deadly weapon charges as well as a parole hold.
