Wineries throughout the North Bay are facing a tough market, as predicted by industry experts at the seventh annual North Coast Wine Industry Expo and Conference at the Sonoma County Fairgrounds. Thursday’s conference predicted a stagnant market for wine after a harvest that brought in a bumper crop and flat sales for the past year. For larger companies, the strategy will have to be grabbing market shares away from competitors. For the little guys, the focus will be on direct to consumer sales, mostly via wine clubs.
