Former Police Chief, Santa Rosa City Councilmember Tom Schwedhelm Elected Mayor of Santa Rosa

Retired Police Chief Tom Schwedhelm is the unanimous choice to become Santa Rosa’s next mayor. Schwedhelm, who currently represents the city’s District Six, was selected by his fellow council members at last night’s City Council meeting. Chris Rogers opened the vote:

 

 

Schwedhelm was unanimously picked by the rest of the council.

 

 

Vice Mayor Chris Rogers remains in that role for another year, and he had some kind words for outgoing mayor Chris Coursey:

 

 

Victoria Fleming was also sworn in for her first council term last night.
