A New Year’s night stabbing at Sebastopol Road and Hampton Way has left one man injured and another in custody. SRPD says officers responded at 7:30 last night and found the victim suffering from stab wounds after an altercation with 57-year old James Paskali. Paskali was later found in his vehicle. He’s charged with attempted murder. The victim has since been released from the hospital.

SRPD also responded to a call about neighbors fighting on Hogrefe Way in Santa Rosa. It happened just after 1pm yesterday. The first officer on the scene encountered resistance from a juvenile female, and that ended with the officer taking her down to the ground and handcuffing her. She was treated for minor abrasions before heading to Juvenile Hall. The officer involved also suffered minor injuries: he was also treated and released.

And two men are in custody in connection with an assault in downtown Petaluma. The attack happened early Tuesday morning on Kentucky Street near Western Avenue where surveillance video captured two men assaulting a Windsor man. Gregory MacDonald and Malik Telcy, both from Santa Rosa, were taken into custody in the Keller Street garage. The victim was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, and both suspects were booked into the Sonoma County Jail on suspicion of battery.

Finally, one man is facing multiple charges in connection with being arrested after passing out in a Taco Bell drive-through lane. Abel Macedonio-Gutierrez was arrested early Tuesday morning at the Taco Bell on East Washington Street after officers said he displayed signs of impairment. He was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving and refusing to allow a blood test. He was booked into Sonoma County Jail and faces a one-year suspension of his license for refusing the blood test required under state vehicle code.
