A federal judge is throwing out a civil lawsuit against a Petaluma cannabis farm.  Judge Jon Tigar says the neighbors can’t use a law designed to fight organized crime to win compensation for nuisances or personal injuries.  The attorney for the owner of the Adobe Road property calls it a big victory for all cannabis growers, who feared people who don’t like the smell of marijuana could apply the 1970 RICO Act.  The attorney for the plaintiffs say they might seek compensation in state court, but they feel they’ve already won because the county has closed down the 15-acre Green Earth Coffee farm, based on local regulation issues.
