At least three insurance companies are suing PG&E over damage caused by the deadly Camp Fire in Butte County. Under California law, the utility would be held entirely liable if proof links the blaze to PG&E equipment. The lawsuits filed last month follow several other suits filed by victims of the deadliest and most destructive wildfire in state history. The fire killed at least 86 people, destroyed about 14-thousand homes and led to billions of dollars in insurance claims.
