Taxpayer Advocates Wary of Governor Newsom’s Proposed Spending Plan


Taxpayer advocates are wary of the spending plan proposed by California’s new governor, Gavin Newsom. Jon Coupal with the Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association says he’s cautious despite Newsom’s promise to build the state’s reserves and pay down debt.



Among Newsom’s biggest proposals is a nearly two-billion-dollar plan to boost early childhood development for low-income families.
