A daylong siege at The Pathway Home ended Friday evening with the discovery of four bodies, including the gunman, identified as Albert Wong, a former Army rifleman who served a year in Afghanistan in 2011-2012. About 100 people came to a memorial in Yountville this past Saturday to remember the three women killed by a gunman a year ago at the Veterans Home of California.

Psychologist Gonzales Shushereba, Pathway Home executive director Christine Loeber, and staff therapist Jen Golick were remembered in the Community Center on Washington Street. All three worked for the Pathway Home, a residential therapy program that has since ceased operations at the Veterans Home. Spokesperson Larry Kamer spoke with ABC 7 news:

Former Pathway Home resident and Army Veteran Albert Cheung Wong, killed all three staff members before taking his own life.
