Vacaville police are identifying the remains of a deceased Jane Doe found in 1991 as a long lost mother of a Santa Rosa woman.
Cynthia Bilardi, also known as Cynthia Merkley, was identified publicly earlier this week as the 38 year old woman found at the eventual site of Vacaville Premium outlets. Police had told the daughter and Rincon Valley Resident Caitlin Johnson back in November of last year of their discovery. Johnson told the Press Democrat she barely knew Bilardi being separated at an early age and going into foster care due to homelessness and Bilardi being arrested for suspected drug use and theft of a knife. Police, however, are still investigating the cause of Bilardi’s death.
