A 48 year-old Novato woman has been selected as the next Superintendent of Rincon Valley Union School District.
Tracy Smith was selected unanimously by the school board ending a six month search for the district. Smith will begin in May despite her official start being July 1st. Smith currently serves as assistant superintendent of educational services in the Dixie School District in Marin County. She replaces Tony Roehrick who left Rincon Valley Union School District in October to become the interim superintendent at Cotati-Rohnert Park school district.
