When it comes to being healthy, Marin County takes the cake in California. That is at least according to a report released this week from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. The foundation’s 2019 County Health Rankings found people in Marin County are the healthiest and live the longest of any county in California. San Mateo and Santa Clara counties followed closely behind. Sonoma County was number 8. The rankings are based on a number of categories such as length and quality of life, health factors and access to health care, socio-economic factors, and physical environment.
