A San Diego-area grower is recalling avocados sold in bulk in grocery stores because routine tests have found the fruit might be contaminated by Listeria. The Escondido-based Henry Avocado Corporation is recalling California-grown conventional and organic avocados. A company statement says the avocados were distributed in California, Arizona, Florida, New Hampshire, North Carolina and Wisconsin. No illnesses have been reported.
