San Francisco is contemplating canceling outdoor events if there is poor air quality. The idea is part of the city’s new draft emergency response plan for dealing with unhealthy air from wildfires. Mayor London Breed directed officials to revisit the plans after San Francisco experienced 13 days straight of unhealthy air in November from the smoke of the wildfire in Butte County. The draft report was presented last week. Another suggestion included is opening cleaner air centers and cooling centers in air-conditioned buildings.
