North Coast Wine Crop Hits New Record

 

According to a report from the U.S. Department of Agriculture, wine growers along the north coast hauled in a record $2 billion crop in 2018. The district of Sonoma-Marin farmers collected about 276 thousand tons of grapes, a 34 percent increase from 2017. Karissa Kruse, President of the Sonoma County Winegrowers, credits the large harvest to mother nature:

 

 

For the counties of Sonoma, Napa, Mendocino and Lake counties, farmers picked 588,864 tons of grapes, a 26% increase from 2017.
